Copiah County School District welcomes you to our website. Our district serves approximately 3,000 students in grades K-12 at Crystal Springs and Wesson. We have a tradition of excellence in education that has existed since the district was established in 1846.
It is our mission to provide a quality learning environment by striving to meet the individual needs of all students. Recognizing that the world of work is constantly changing, we provide curriculum offerings and education experiences that prepare our students for the future.
I invite you to visit us and talk with our staff members. We welcome all opportunities to show you what we can offer you as a prospective educator, student, or supporter.
Rickey Clopton, Superintendent
Beginning Friday September 17, 2021, the Copiah County School District will begin following an early dismissal schedule with students being dismissed every Friday at 2:00 pm. The administration, teachers, and staff at each school will utilize this time for professional development, training, and planning to better serve the students of our district as we continue to navigate through the Covid-19 pandemic. All school schedules will follow the Mississippi Department of Education guidelines regarding required instructional minutes to ensure that all students are receiving the services they deserve. If you have any questions regarding the changes to your child’s schedule on Fridays, please contact the Principal at the school where your child attends.
